Broccoli Growing Guide

Sow (when, temp, soil, location)

• well cultivated soil
• sow thinly (5mm deep) in punnets
  (or sow directly in clumps – thinning to one seedling per clump)
• spacing: 60cm (2ft) apart

 

 

Harvest/Germination

• germination: 7-12 days
• harvest: when middle heads are well formed, just before flower heads open (12-16 wks from sowing)
  New spears will replace those cut

 

Care/Watering

• well watered
• feed regularly
