Very easy to make Butter Cookies.
These are easy to make butter cookies. I used the recipe World’s Best Butter Cookies on the food.com site.
The biggest difference was that I baked these in Fillip (Air Fryer).
Tip: These, when kneaded can be rolled up and put into the freezer for storage.
Ingredients (adjusted)
(A)
- 225g butter
- pinch of salt
- ½ C sugar
- 1-2 tsp vanilla essence (extract would be better if available)
- 1 egg yolk
- 2C AP flour
Method
- Beat (A) tog. till creamy.
- Egg yolk – Mix & incorporate
- Flour – Mix in well.
- Knead on floured surface. Knead till smooth out; do not over knead.
- Roll into logs. Wrap in plastic sheet. Refrigerate for a few hours. (or freeze)
- Slice into ⅛” thick or roll out flat and cut into shapes.
- Bake
Conventional Oven: 160C/16-18mins
Air Fryer : 150C/15mins
Note: ensure space between pieces as they expand and stick together in the heat.
