- Sow: zig-zag with 2″ bet. seeds
- Sow: in batches for continuous supply
- Soil: rich & well-drained
- Loc: sunny

- early stages: netting to protect from birds
- keep well watered
- feeding not usually required.

beans, beetroots, brussel sprouts, carrots, cauliflower, celery, corn, cucumber, herbs (aromatic), lettuce, lovage, marjoram, parsnip, potatoes, pumpkin, radish, sage, squash, turnips
Enemies
chives, leeks, onions, potatoes, spring onions
Other Notes
- carrots esp. good companion – enhances pod production & quality
- will die back in hot summer weather
